“When we enter the classroom, what do the students have in their hands? Cell phones! So we need to use the resources they use to our advantage,” believes Teacher Stela Soro, from Porto Alegre (RS).
New technologies support learning, but for this to happen, it is necessary for people to be properly familiar with this knowledge. Data from the Todos Pela Educação movement indicate that 66% of public-school teachers believe that the insufficient number of devices is a limiting factor in the use of technological resources in education.
One of the purposes of AprendiZAP is to help change this reality by supporting public-school teachers and students. By using the platform for teachers, educators gain access to more than 2,000 pieces of content and activities that can be used with their students inside and outside the classroom.
“I can send AprendiZAP activities via WhatsApp, and for students who do not have the app, I try to print out some activities. I open the platform, print them, and give them the materials so they can read and complete the entire activity at home. Because it is lighter, more dynamic, and faster, without the need for so many tools, it is very straightforward,” says teacher Alzenira dos Santos, who uses the tool with students at Nossa Senhora de Fátima State School in Salvador (BA).

AprendiZAP also offers features that help teachers create and organize their lesson plans. The tool is 100% free, aligned with the National Common Curricular Base, and enables students to supplement their studies directly on their cell phones through WhatsApp—the app used by more than 190 million Brazilians, which often does not even consume data from their mobile plans, making everything more accessible.
